Third Place Game Introduced

A THIRD PLACE PLAY-OFF is to be introduced for the 2010 Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts.

The play-offs for this year's event will be held at the Wembley Arena on Sunday May 23, featuring the top four players from the league table following the 14 league nights currently being held around the UK.

The first placed player from the league table will play the fourth placed player in the semi-finals, with the players finishing second and third also facing off.

Whilst the semi-final winners will compete for the £125,000 first prize and £65,000 runner-up prize, an additional £10,000 has been added to the event's prize fund for the third place play-off.

The player finishing in third place will now receive £50,000, with the fourth placed player taking home £40,000.
