A FIRST victory of the 2006 Holsten Premier League Darts will be the aim for Ronnie Baxter, Wayne Mardle and Peter Manley in Aberdeen on Thursday night.
The trio are currently without a victory in this year's Premier League following the opening two nights of action.
Baxter plays twice at the AECC in Aberdeen, opening against Colin Lloyd before then meeting defending champion Phil Taylor.
Mardle and Manley come head-to-head in one of the evening's other games, with both going into the game in the knowledge that they cannot afford to lose as the battle for places begins to hot up.
Mardle lost 8-6 to Phil Taylor on the opening week before then going down to Raymond van Barneveld in Sunderland, but said: "I can't wait to get going.
"I need to improve one or two parts of my game, especially my doubles, but I'm playing well and confident that I can get that first win.
"It was four weeks before I got a victory last year - hopefully I won't have to wait as long this time!"
The night's other game sees Dutch stars Raymond van Barneveld and Roland Scholten meet for the first time in the PDC.
"Roland and I are both from The Hague, so it should be an interesting game," said van Barneveld.
"I've had a brilliant start by beating Ronnie and Wayne, but I know I can play better."
