SPAIN'S Francisco Ruiz is the latest international qualifier to win a place in the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship.
Ruiz won the inaugural Spanish qualifying event on Sunday to earn himself a spot in the preliminary round of the World Championship in December.
He is one of 24 international qualifiers who will compete in this year's event.
Eight will go straight into the first round, while the remaining 16 will contest the preliminary round.
Ruiz, a 43-year-old bar owner from Coin, which is around 15 miles inland from Malaga and Marbella, won through over 100 players to enter the first qualifying event held in Spain.
He will be joined in competing at Alexandra Palace by fellow Spaniard Carlos Rodriguez, who is certain to qualify via either the Players Championship Order of Merit or European Order of Merit.
Ruiz is the latest of the international qualifiers to book his World Championship spot, with the Oceanic Masters and Japanese Championship Final taking place on Sunday.
