AMERICAN viewers can see the first episode of the World Series of Darts on ESPN on Tuesday evening.
The series premiere will be aired at 7pm (EST) on Tuesday as the American hopefuls begin their quest to join 16 top PDC players at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut to play for $1 million.
The programme is the first of eight, which will be shown on consecutive Tuesdays until September and follow the progress of the tournament.
"This is a hugely exciting time for American sports fans," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"The World Series of Darts is a new concept and the coverage from our partners at ESPN Original Entertainment will show all the drama and excitement which the tournament offered.
"We are now beginning eight weeks of prime time viewing across the United States where the very best players in the world are doing battle with players living the "American dream" - I'm sure it will be a huge success."
