Quartet Seal Betway Premier League Play-Off Spots

THE four players who will compete in the Betway Premier League Play-Offs have been confirmed - but the order of players inside the top is all to play for on the final league night in Brighton.

Thursday's Night 14 in Newcastle saw reigning champion Raymond van Barneveld and World Champion Gary Anderson join Michael van Gerwen and Dave Chisnall in securing a top-four finish.

That quartet will now do battle for the prestigious Betway Premier League title and a £200,000 first prize at The O2 in London on Thursday May 21.

However, the make-up of the semi-finals will only be confirmed following next week's final league night.

Although van Gerwen currently sits top ahead of second-placed Chisnall, the Dutchman's narrow defeat to Adrian Lewis and the St Helens ace's defeat of Stephen Bunting saw the gap between the pair reduced to one point.

That means their clash in Brighton is a decider for top spot, with Chisnall needing a victory and van Gerwen only requiring a draw to ensure that he leads the standings for a third successive season.

In addition, Anderson sits one point ahead of van Barneveld, meaning that the results of their games against Lewis and Bunting respectively in Brighton will decide who finishes third and fourth.
