THE entries have been confirmed for the opening two European Tour events, which will be held in Hildesheim and Gibraltar, along with entries for the UK Qualifiers which will be held on Sunday January 18 in Wigan.
The year's first of nine £115,000 European Tour events will be the German Darts Championship, to be held at Halle 39 in Hildesheim from February 13-15.
The series then moves on to Gibraltar for the Gibraltar Darts Trophy from March 20-22, where 48 players will compete across three days.
The top 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit qualify by right to compete in the event, and enter at the second round stage.
The field of 32 qualifiers, who will compete in the first round on the opening day, is comprised of 20 players from the UK Qualifier, eight players from the European Qualifier and four players from the Host Nation Qualifier.
The UK Qualifier, open to PDPA members from the UK and outside of Europe, for both events will be held on Sunday January 18 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.
A total of 149 players are set to compete in the German Darts Championship UK Qualifier, with 151 entries for the Gibraltar Darts Trophy UK Qualifier.
Play in ET1UKQ will commence at 12pm, with players needing to register at the venue before 11am. Any players competing only in ET2UKQ will need to register at the venue before 2pm, with play commencing as soon as possible following the completion of the first event.
The European Qualifier for both the German Darts Championship and Gibraltar Darts Trophy will be held on Saturday January 24 in Bielefeld, Germany. Information is available at www.pdc-europe.tv.
The Host Nation Qualifier for the German Darts Championship will take place on Thursday February 12 in Hildesheim. Information is available at www.pdc-europe.tv.
