SOUTH AFRICAN star Devon Petersen, veteran professional Andy Jenkins, Matthew Edgar and Jason Lovett won Tour Cards on Day Two of the 2015 PDC Qualifying School.
Popular three-time World Championship qualifier Petersen will return to the PDC's professional circuit on a full-time basis following a two-year break to recover from an arm injury.
The South African had been a Tour Card holder in 2011 and 2012 before returning to Cape Town in 2013, and after narrowly missing out on World Championship qualification last year he has now won back his professional status in the sport.
The 28-year-old was only taken to a deciding leg once on the day, by Scott Campbell, and enjoyed 5-2 victories against Darren Whittingham, Nathan Richards, Austrian youngster Roxy-James Rodriguez and former World Championship finalist Kirk Shepherd before overcoming Chris Hartrey 5-1 in his decider.
"It's crazy for me," said Petersen. "In the first instance I never lost my Tour Card - I was ranked 59th so I had to relinquish it because of the injury - and returning after a few years is amazing - I'm almost near to tears.
"I came over here thinking that I did then we first started Q School [in 2011] and there were about 130 people, and now it's over 400 so I knew it was going to be a hard ask to get through.
"The draw fell in my favour and the darts picked up during the day, and I'm over the moon that I've got my Tour Card.
"The first year that I had my Tour Card I had my training wheels on, but I feel now that I can definitely move on and create a career out of this. It's an amazing feeling to get the Tour Card again."
Portsmouth's Jenkins, a former World Championship semi-finalist, won through the 366-player field on Thursday as he secured his return to the ProTour on a full-time basis.
The 43-year-old had reached the last 32 on Wednesday, but went all the way 24 hours later, opening his account with a 5-1 win over Scottish thrower Mike Veitch before seeing off Carl Moorhouse, Holland's Erik Hol, Canada's Ken MacNeil, Kevin Thomas and Bedlington's Chris Dobey.
Daventry's Edgar, meanwhile, also won back a Tour Card as he bounced back from the disappointment of a deciding-game loss to Mike Zuydwijk on Wednesday to whitewash Andy Boulton in his final contest 24 hours later.
Edgar had been just one game away from qualifying for the Grand Slam of Darts and World Championship at the end of last year, but put that behind him in style following two strong days of darts.
Edgar dropped only two legs in his first four games as he defeated Steve Hartley, George McKie, Trevor Williams and Darrell Claydon, before edging out Luke Woodhouse in a deciding leg and then defeating Ireland's William O'Connor 5-2 to set up his triumphant win over Boulton.
Thursday's fourth Tour Card winner was Jason Lovett, a 39-year-old from Norwich who enjoyed a 5-0 whitewash victory over Crewe's Tony Richardson in their decider.
He had earlier knocked out Croatian World Championship qualifier Robert Marijanovic and also defeated Darren Mawer, Darron Brown, Tony Bradley and Ben Davies - in a deciding ninth leg - as he progressed.
Gibraltar's Dyson Parody achieved a nine-dart finish - matching Alan Norris' perfect leg on Day One - in his first round game with Paul Milford, although he went on to lose the game 5-4.
Sheffield's John Walton, the former Lakeside Champion, missed double 12 for a nine-darter in his narrow 5-4 defeat to Hartrey at the last 16 stage.
Hartrey, Richardson, Dobey and Boulton all received nine ranking points for reaching the last eight on the day, with Dutch newcomer Jermaine Wattimena - a World Championship qualifier recently - amongst the losers in the last 16.
The four-day PDC Qualifying School continues on Friday, with a further four automatic PDC Tour Cards on offer to the last four players, as well as further ranking points.
In addition to remaining eight automatic Tour Cards on offer, a further 18 Tour Cards will be awarded to players from the Q School Order of Merit, based on ranking points won across the four days.

In addition, players are allocated ranking points based on their finishing position on each day of play, forming the Q School Order of Merit from which an additional number of 18 PDC Tour Cards will be awarded.
Ranking Points will be awarded as follows:
Last 8 defeat: 9 points
Last 16 defeat: 5 points
Last 32 defeat: 3 points
Last 64 defeat: 2 points
Last 128 defeat: 1 point
The Q School Order of Merit is also used during 2015 to allocate additional places, in ranking order, within Players Championship tournaments, should the full field of 128 Tour Card Holders not enter.
Players need only to p-lay on a minimum of one day at Qualifying School, although the Q School OOM will be based on four days' performance.
