Scott Williams picked up both titles on the opening day of the 2022 Unicorn Challenge Tour in Milton Keynes on Friday.
A landmark day in Williams' career saw him defeat Robert Owen 5-2 in the Event One final, before overcoming Lee Evans by the same scoreline in the Event Two final.
Williams had never progressed past the last 16 stage of a Challenge Tour event since his debut in 2020 but claimed his first PDC silverware at the Marshall Arena as over 270 non-PDC Tour Card Holders began their second-tier campaigns.
Event One saw the 32-year-old defeat former Tour Card Holders Mark McGeeney and Darren Johnson on his way to the semi-finals where he averaged just under 100 in seeing off Danny Lauby, before beating Owen to secure his first title of the day.
Williams took his impressive form into Event Two, averaging over 90 in his final six games of the day, including a 100.04 in his 5-2 semi-final win over Karel Sedlacek.
A 95.83 average against Evans rounded off an eye-catching day for the Lincolnshire man.
Saturday will see Events Three and Four take place in Milton Keynes - play will begin at 1000 GMT.
The top two players from the final 2022 Challenge Tour Order of Merit will secure a PDC Tour Card for 2023/24 and a place in the 2022/23 Cazoo World Darts Championship.
