2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship - Stats Update

Callan Rydz (PDC)

The 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship has featured 64 matches before the Christmas break - here we look at the top stats from the sport's showpiece event so far.

The first and second rounds took place across nine days of action from December 15-23 - with 14 of the 32 seeds crashing out - a new World Darts Championship record.

However, while the remaining 32 players set their sights on lifting the iconic Sid Waddell Trophy, the battle to win the the Ballon d'Art - created by title sponsors Paddy Power - also continues.

The award is part of THE BIGGER 180 Campaign, which again sees Paddy Power donate £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every maximum hit during the 2024/25 World Championship.

Reigning World Champion Luke Humphries claimed last year's Ballon d'Art following his record-breaking triumph at Alexandra Palace, although Scott Williams leads this year's tally with 13 maximums to his name.

Williams - a semi-finalist in last year's event - landed nine 180s in his opening round win over Germany's Niko Springer, before dumping out former World Champion Rob Cross in the final match before the Christmas break.

Dutch star Kevin Doets is also a live contender for the title having fired in 12 180s in his opening two matches, including nine in his epic tie-break victory over 2022/23 World Champion Michael Smith on December 19.

Official data partner Sportradar have followed every dart thrown at Alexandra Palace so far, and have produced the following tournament stats with 31 matches remaining before the champion is crowned on January 3.
