Bellmont bags Winmau Challenge Tour Five title

Stefan Bellmont (PDC)

Stefan Bellmont secured his first Winmau Challenge Tour title of 2025 with a thumping 5-1 victory over Danny Jansen in Sunday’s Event Five final.

The year's opening weekend of Challenge Tour action drew to a close at Arena MK on Sunday afternoon, as a 285-player field battled it out for the £2,500 top prize.

However, it was Swiss star Bellmont who came out on top, winning eight straight matches to move up to second on the Winmau Challenge Tour Order of Merit.

Bellmont followed up a 5-1 win over Vinay Ramnath with successive whitewash wins over Tom Parradine and Stefan Dees, before easing past Sam Spivey to reach the last 16.

The 35-year-old edged out Tommy Morris in a decider to continue his charge, and after overcoming Graham Hall in the last eight, he fought back from 4-3 down to deny Aden Kirk and set up a showdown against Jansen.

The World Cup star saved his best performance of the day for Sunday’s showpiece, averaging 85.80 to dispatch the Dutchman and celebrate his third Challenge Tour crown.

Bellmont - the Event One runner-up on Friday - moves to within £1,050 of Beau Greaves at the top of the Order of Merit, after the Women’s World Matchplay champion won a brace of titles across the weekend.

The top two players from the final 2025 Challenge Tour Order of Merit will secure a PDC Tour Card for 2026/27 and a place in the 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
