Sebastian Bialecki and Beau Greaves picked up the opening Winmau Development Tour titles of 2025 with victories in the curtain-raising double-header at Arena MK in Milton Keynes.
In a packed field of over 340 players, Poland’s Bialecki picked up his sixth career Development Tour title with the opening event of the year.
Bialecki is no stranger to the Development Tour, and with his latest victory has now won a title every year since 2021, as well as securing his PDC Tour Card through the Order of Merit in 2024.
He started this charge to victory with an opening 4-0 win against Damon Medema and followed that by seeing off Cody Crabtree and Jake Seymour by the same scoreline.
Bialecki dropped his first leg in the Last 32, but posted a 100 average as he blew away Lewis Gurney.
A 4-2 victory over Jenson Walker followed and he then whitewashed Jannes Bremermann 5-0 to reach the last four.
In the semi-finals, he saw off James Beeton 5-1 and finally secured the first title of the year by beating fellow Tour Card Holder Owen Bates 5-2.
The Polish star went close to consecutive victories before falling at the semi-final stage of Event Two, but it was Women’s World Matchplay champion Greaves who clinched the second title of the day.
The Doncaster darter started her run with a 4-1 victory over Kyle Manton, averaging 100 in the process.
A whitewash win over Alfie Cox followed, and she then posted a 103.89 average in a 4-1 win over Davey Cole.
Her toughest test came against Brad Phillips in a narrow 4-3 victory, but convincing wins over Cayden Smith and Lennart Faes continued her charge.
A thumping 5-0 victory over Adam Gawlas booked Greaves a spot in the semi-finals, and she raced to victory by beating Daniel Perry 5-1 and Levy Frauenfelder 5-3 to clinch the title.
The Winmau Development Tour action continues on Saturday with two more events, before the weekend's play concludes on Sunday with Event Five.
The top two players from the 2025 Development Tour Order of Merit will win a PDC Tour Card for 2026-27 and a place in the 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
