OVER 100 players will compete in the two Irish Players Championships in Dublin this weekend.
The two £30,000 events will be held at the Citywest Hotel IECC ahead of next week's Skybet World Grand Prix.
World number three Raymond van Barneveld will make his return to action, competing for the first time since the stanjames.com World Matchplay in July in the double-header.
Phil Taylor, who won the Saturday Players Championship in Dublin a year ago, will be the number one seed for this year's event as he looks to continue the form which won him the Virgin Atlantic South African Masters on Sunday.
James Wade, John Part and Mervyn King, who also played in South Africa, where the latter hit a nine-darter, will also compete in Dublin.
Both tournaments will be the best of 11 legs throughout, and will begin at 12pm.
The draws will be made at 11am following the close of registration.
Sunday's tournament will be the 100th Players Championship held since the concept was introduced in 2003 with the Bobby Bourn Memorial event in Blackpool.
