WAYNE MARDLE will make his return from a virus to compete in a Whyte & Mackay Premier League double-header on Thursday.
Mardle was sidelined through illness for last week's Premier League round in Exeter, with John Part picking up three points from his two matches in week ten.
Essex ace Mardle is fit to return at the Trent FM Arena, and knows that he could reignite his play-off ambitions with victories in his matches against Jelle Klaasen and Phil Taylor.
Mardle currently sits bottom of the table on four points after his nine games, seven points behind fourth placed John Part going into the final weeks of the league campaign.
"It was very disappointing to miss last week but I'm looking forward to returning in Nottingham," said Mardle.
"Thursday will be a very important night for my season, just like last week was for John Part.
"There are still three games to go after this week, but it's a great chance for me to move closer to the play-off places, and whilst there's an outside chance I'll of getting into the top four I'll be giving it everything to do just that."
Canadian star Part will sit out the visit to Nottingham, with Mervyn King taking on Raymond van Barneveld and James Wade facing Terry Jenkins in the other two matches on Thursday.
Tickets for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham are still available on 08444 124 624 or online here.
