On Last Week in Glasgow
Mervyn King is up to second in the league behind Phil Taylor after beating James Wade in Glasgow - a really good performance from King, taking advantage of James' mistakes and throwing some great legs himself and that's why he'll be in the top four at the end of the league.

I'm going to call Wade the Ronnie O'Sullivan of darts - one week he's absolutely brilliant, the next week he's just not there and that's what happened against King last week.

A fine performance from Raymond van Barneveld against John Part took him up to fourth, and the Canadian is really struggling now along with Terry Jenkins, Jelle Klaasen and Wayne Mardle and I can't see those four breaking into the play-off spots.

This week, Wayne has a virus so we won't be seeing him in Exeter - John Part will be playing twice instead, against Mervyn King and Jelle Klaasen.

The Matches
John Part v Mervyn King

Mervyn King has been jumping on mistakes and playing some great stuff too which is why he is right up there.

Perhaps the travelling has disrupted John Part's game a little bit, he's not happy with the way he's been playing at certain times but he is a strong player and he's played some good events this year.

He's strong on his own throw but he has to make sure he doesn't make any mistakes as King will pounce on them.

Again, this could end level but I think Mervyn will nick this one.

Boylesports.com Match Odds
John Part 11/4, Mervyn King 8/13, Draw 4/1

Phil Taylor v Terry Jenkins
What a hard task this is for Terry Jenkins. His form is just not consistent enough to beat Phil Taylor in my opnion.

The Power is in blistering touch at the moment, he won both PDC Pro Tour events in Holland at the weekend, beating Gary Anderson 6-5 on the Saturday and then 6-2 the following day - with a 116 average in the final on Saturday.

That shows what sort of form Jenkins needs to be in to get near Taylor and I just don't think he will.

I think Phil will run away with an easy win here - if Terry is going to make the top four, he has to get a result here.

He got a draw out of Taylor last year, he needs at least a point again but even that might not be enough.

Boylesports.com Match Odds
Phil Taylor 1/8, Terry Jenkins 11/1, Draw 8/1

James Wade v Raymond van Barneveld
Barney really hit everything against Part last week and he seems to be a different person now, he's lost a lot of weight and has really got his brain in gear.

Last time Wade played Raymond he was 4-1 down and he rolled off seven legs on the rot with an average of 121 - that's the sort of James Wade we want to see and the sort that needs to come out against Barney as the Dutchman is on form.

A draw is a possibility here but I'm going for a Barney win.

Boylesports.com Match Odds
James Wade 5/2, Raymond van Barneveld 8/13, Draw 9/2

John Part v Jelle Klaasen
Jelle has been coming into some form the last two weeks - he should've taken a point from Phil Taylor in Glasgow and he won the week before.

He has always been giving himself chances in the Premier League but not always taking them - but there are signs in the last fortnight that that is changing.

I think that Klaasen could beat Part in this one because Part is playing twice - it's very tough for a player to play twice in one night.

Boylesports.com Match Odds
John Part 11/10, Jelle Klaasen 11/8, Draw 9/2

Although the event was announced as sell-out earlier this week, a very limited number of tiered seat tickets have become available and been released for sale by the promoters.

These tickets, priced £20, can be purchased from the Westpoint Arena Box Office on 08705 321 321.
