WORLD CHAMPION John Part will head the field of players competing in Sunday's inaugural Kitchener Open Players Championship.
Part will step to the oche on home soil in Canada for the £20,000 tournament, which will be the first PDC Pro Tour event in the country.
He will be joined by Scotland's Robert Thornton, who won Sunday's Australian Open Players Championship and is heading straight on to Kitchener.
Ronnie Baxter, Denis Ovens and Dave Honey will also travel from the week of William Cross Pro-Am events in Australia to take part in Canada, while Terry Jenkins and Dennis Priestley are other players from the world's top ten competing.
Gary Mawson, a semi-finalist in the Australian Open Players Championship, will be joined by John Kuczynski in action in Canada following their return from Shoalhaven.
Canada's former World Championship qualifiers Gerry Convery, Dan Olson and John Verwey will all represent their country in the tournament.
The field will be joined by eight players from a qualifier to be held on Sunday morning.
