STARS of the PDC warmed up for the Stan James World Matchplay by attempting to create a new world record for hitting a bullseye from distance.
World Matchplay champion James Wade was joined by Steve Beaton, Adrian Gray and Kevin McDine on the North Pier in Blackpool for the event.
All attempted to hit a bullseye from beyond the regulation throwing distance of seven feet, nine-and-a-quarter inches - although none were successful in hitting the target.
However, PDC referee Russ Bray did manage to land a bullseye from ten feet - earning himself a place in the record books!
Members of the public also attempted to hit the bullseye, with some going close but non quite matching Bray's feat.
Tickets are still available for the Stan James World Matchplay, visit the Winter Gardens Box Office for more details or call 0844 856 1111.
