THE PDC have been informed that the 2008 Thialf Darts Trophy has been cancelled.
The tournament has been staged by the DDF in Holland and ranked on the PDC Order of Merit, with Roland Scholten winning last year's title.
However, this year's event - which was due to be held on May 31 - has been cancelled following the withdrawal of a sponsor.
Due to timescales, the tournament will not be replaced in the PDC Calendar on that weekend, however the PDC are investigating the possibility of adding a further Players Championship in Holland later this year.
Any PDPA members who had entered the tournament through will be refunded their entry fee by the PDC.
