MENSUR SULJOVIC remains at the head of the GDC rankings - following an historic weekend of events in Germany.
The GDC welcomed the first nine-dart leg by a German player in their tournaments last Saturday, when Kai Nithammer achieved the feat in Hürth.
The number six ranked (pictured) star hit 177 and 180, and took out 144 with two treble 18s and double 18 to land the perfect game.
Saturday's event, the first GDC ranking tournament of 2008, was won by Austria's Dietmar Burger, who defeated Mensur Suljovic 3-1 in the final.
Michael Rosenauer - who joined Suljovic at the Ladbrokes.com PDC World Darts Championship last December - was among the semi-finalists, while Anton Pein, another former World Championship qualifier, lost to Bernd Roith in the quarters.
Germany's Andree Welge, who competed in the 2006 World Championship, won Sunday's tournament with a 3-2 defeat of Alexander Kohler in the final.
Suljovic lost to Kohler in the semis, while Rosenauer, Burger and Tomas Seyler were among the quarter-finalists.
Suljovic currently sits clear of Rosenauer at the head of the GDC rankings, with Burger in third place.
