Graham Ollis

THE Professional Darts Corporation sends its sympathies to the family of Graham Ollis, who passed away last Tuesday.

Graham was heavily involved with the PDC from the company's early days, firstly in his role as accountant before moving on to head up the Darts Regulation Authority.

He recently stepped down from his role as Chairman of the DRA.

Dick Allix, the PDC Event Director, worked closely with Graham from the mid-1990s, and paid the following tribute:
"I first met Graham through PDC Directors David Pomfret and Edward Lowy and he was a breath of fresh air.

"He was fun to be with, ever jovial and ever ready with tales from his past. He was not in the expected mould of an accountant - he even seemed to like darts!

"I don't think he ever envisaged us reaching the heights we have today but he played a vital role in that.

"He was a good mate and I will miss him a lot."

PDC Chairman Barry Hearn added: "This is very sad news and we send our thoughts to Graham's family at this time.

"Graham contributed a great deal to both the PDC and the DRA and was very well-known within the sport.

"He will be fondly remembered."
