FOR the first time, viewers around the world can watch the 2008 Ladbrokes.com PDC World Darts Championship LIVE online.
The tournament will be screened through www.worldchampionshipdarts.tv to all viewers outside the UK and Holland, who are already showing live coverage on Sky Sports and SBS6 respectively.
Live coverage of all matches during the tournament will be shown, costing $5 per day or $30 for the full tournament.
"This is a watershed moment for professional darts," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"The DartsTV service on PlanetDarts showing tournament highlights has been a huge success in recent years and moving on to live streaming is a natural progression in the modern world.
"We are very excited that fans of darts in countries such as Australia, Philippines, India and China will be able to watch their representatives battling on the biggest stage in the world."
The PDC made its first live internet broadcast in September when the Blue Square UK Open Welsh Regional Final was streamed live from Newport.
The remaining five Blue Square UK Open Regional Finals, to be played on Sundays from January to March 2008, will also be streamed live from the quarter-finals onwards - stay logged on to PlanetDarts in the New Year for further information.
