GLEN POWER increased the pressure on Simon Whitlock at the top of the Australian Grand Prix rankings with victory at Broken Hill on Sunday, while Andrew Townes won Saturday's event.
Whitlock saw his lead at the top of the AGP standings cut to just six points with three events remaining before the end of this year's campaign - with the AGP Champion winning a Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship place.
Whitlock missed the weekend's events at Broken Hill, where two AGP ranked events were played.
Andrew Townes defeated Barry Jouannet 6-4 in the final of Saturday's event, while Power overcame Rob Modra in Sunday's final.
Modra's display moved him up to fourth in the AGP rankings, meaning he joins Whitlock, Power and Steve MacArthur in receiving an automatic place in next weekend's DPA Australian Open.
The DPA Australian Open in Geelong will be gollowed by the Gaels Club Open in Penrith and Pine Rivers Open in Queensland.
