A DEFEAT to Michael van Gerwen saw Phil Taylor drop out of the Topic International Darts League as the final Second Round group games were played on Thursday.
The top two players from each group progress to Friday's Quarter-Finals, with only Mark Webster going into the third set of Round Two games assured of a last eight place.
The Welshman will be joined from Group L by James Wade, who defeated Scott Waites 7-4 in their decider.
Earlier in the night, Raymond van Barneveld's 7-6 defeat of Darryl Fitton meant that the World Champion joined the Englishman in the Quarters, winning the match with an 11-darter in the final leg.
That is at the expense of Taylor, who hit a nine-darter against van Barneveld in a victory on Tuesday but lost to Fitton and then - on Thursday - to van Gerwen in a deciding leg, having come from 6-3 down to level.
Gary Anderson's 7-3 defeat of Mark Dudbridge secured his place in the last eight, with Gary Robson's 7-5 win over Lakeside Champion Martin Adams putting him through on leg difference.
Adrian Lewis joined Tony O'Shea in progressing when both ended the Second Round with wins
Lewis defeated Australian Simon Whitlock 7-4, with O'Shea winning 7-5 against Wayne Mardle.
The Quarter-Finals will see unbeaten Anderson face Wade in the first game, with O'Shea and van Barneveld then clashing.
Fitton and Lewis will be the next to meet, before Webster and Robson face off for a place in the semi-finals.
The action begins at 7.30pm CET and will be preceded by the IDL Youth clash between Pieter Collijn and Richie George.
