BOB ANDERSON insists he has nothing to fear as he prepares for Friday's quarter-final with Terry Jenkins at the SkyBet World Grand Prix.
Anderson has overcome Colin Lloyd and Irish qualifier Anto McCracken to reach the last eight of the double-start tournament for the first time.
He will meet Jenkins in Friday's quarter-finals, and is targeting a first appearance in a PDC major final.
"I'm over the moon," said Anderson. "I've never been this far in this tournament before but having got the monkey off my back on Monday night I felt good going into the game with Anto.
"I will feel good going into Friday. I'm happy and very much looking forward to my next game. Hopefully I can perform because I'm in with a chance.
"I drew Colin Lloyd, the world number one, and my target was to get past the first round. Who am I to fear after taking out the world number one?
"To reach the final would probably be beyond my dreams and I have to be realistic but who knows? Maybe it's going to happen and if it does, I will give 110 percent out there.
"I never give less."
After producing one of his finest displays ever in a televised game to defeat Lloyd, Anderson faced a battle with local favourite McCracken in round two, taking a 3-1 win.
"Every game is totally different," he reflected. "I knew exactly what Colin was going to do to me and what I had to do to stop him, but I've never played Anto before and he was a surprise package.
"I knew what he did the other night against Mark Walsh was not representative of Anto McCracken and he played better than that against me.
"I tried to keep my cool and knew I could get three sets. It was tough, the crowd quite rightly were right behind him but he's a local hero and we're in Ireland. I wasn't expecting anything else."
Anderson took out 146 to win his contest with Lloyd and landed two more ton-plus finishes against McCracken.
"The 149 finish was nice and as long as I can keep on taking out those kind of finishes I'm in with a shout," he said.
"I bet Phil (Taylor) and Roland (Scholten) are glad they are in the other half to me because they won't want to play me at the moment - maybe in the final."
