PDC Elite Head To Holland

THE PDC's top players will continue their challenge for places in the 2007 Holsten Premier League Darts at the Open Hotel Zwartewater this weekend.

The tournament was won by Terry Jenkins (pictured) 12 months ago, the the world number ten is among a host of leading stars heading to Holland for the event.

World number one Colin Lloyd and four-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld head the stellar cast, and are joined by several players who are currently battling for top six places - with an eye on a coveted spot in the Holsten Premier League Darts.

Ronnie Baxter, Dennis Priestley, Peter Manley, Wayne Mardle, Roland Scholten, Adrian Lewis, Kevin Painter, and Andy Jenkins are all battling to break into the top six.

2005 runner-up Denis Ovens, Mark Dudbridge and Alan Warriner-Little are also heading across the Channel for the tournament.

They will face many of the top Dutch players, such as Jan van der Rassel - a semi-final loser to Jenkins last year - Josephus Schenk and Erwin Extercatte.

Yves Cottenge, Guy Christyn and Tom Nagels will head the Belgian challenge, while Ireland Open Classic winner Mick McGowan is chasing another title after missing out on next week's SkyBet World Grand Prix in his homeland.

The quarter-finals onwards of the tournament will be played on stage, and a nine-dart leg landed in this part of the event will be rewarded with a Peugeot 207 car.
