FISHING fans can catch Dutch darts star Roland Scholten and PDC Chairman Barry Hearn on a new series of podcasts with Discovery Real Time.
The duo joined fishing expert and Discovery Real Time presenter Matt Hayes during the five-part series, which is entitled "Essential Fishing Skills" and now available for download.
The first angling series to be available for Podcast, it sees Matt joined by experts who share their angling know-how across a range of topics, from buying the right kit and casting out to 'baiting the swim' and 'playing the fish'.
"It was a pleasure to be invited to join Matt," said Hearn. "I fish regularly and it's a hugely popular sport.
"I've recently bought a 22lb carp for my lake and it's now my ambition to catch it!"
Hayes added: "There's never been a better time to take up fishing.
"The sport has changed dramatically since the days when I started out nearly 20 years ago.
"It's now cheaper than ever to set yourself up with a beginners kit and there are hundreds of fantastic fishing spots all over the country to choose from.
"The podcasts are the perfect way for fishing fans to learn the basics, whether they're on the way to work, practising in the garden or actually on the side of the river casting out."
The first weekly instalment was launched on Friday 14 July at www.realtimetv.co.uk, and is also available via iTunes.
