SIMON WHITLOCK did the double in the Australian Grand Prix tournaments staged over the weekend.
Two events were staged at Oak Flats, with the Oak Flats Open being followed on Sunday by the Russell Stewart Classic.
Whitlock defeated Brian Roach 6-0 in the Oak Flats Open final, including a 121 finish to win the match.
On Sunday, he had to come from behind in his quarter-final against Dave Fitzpatrick before overcoming Roach again in the semis.
Once again he produced a 121 finish against Roach to win 5-4, and then whitewashed Anthony Fleet in the final.
Fleet defeated Russell Stewart himself in the semi-final, while Barry Jouannet saw Whitlock come from 2-0 down to win their last 16 contest 3-2.
Whitlock's wins mean he is clear of Fleet, Stewart and Jouannet at the head of the AGP standings.
