WAYNE MARDLE believes that he will enter the final two league nights of the Holsten Premier League without any pressure.
Mardle has endured a torrid campaign in the tournament, picking up just three points from a hat-trick of draws and losing six of his nine matches to date.
The world number five would need to win all three of his remaining matches to give himself a chance of qualifying for the play-offs, beginning when he faces Ronnie Baxter in Stevenage on Thursday.
Although he can mathematically still make the top four, Mardle concedes that he is playing merely for pride in his final games.
"My chances of qualifying have gone and, to be honest, I've performed mediocre in the league," said Mardle.
"But I'm playing for pride now and I hope to go out in a blaze of glory. I've nothing to lose."
