KYLE ANDERSON will take on former European Tour winner Justin Pipe in the first round of the 2017 Dutch Darts Masters on Friday, as home pair Christian Kist and Justin van Tergouw prepare to meet as the PDC European Tour event in Maastricht begins.
Australian star Anderson is one of the 32 qualifiers for the £135,000 tournament, and returns to Europe on a high after winning the recent Auckland Darts Masters.
He will face former Austrian Darts Open champion Pipe in a tasty first round tie at the MECC on Friday, as Maastricht hosts a European Tour event for the first time.
Another tasty first round meeting will see former Lakeside Champion Kist take on teenage starlet Van Tergouw - who is making his European Tour debut - in an all-Dutch contest.
The first round will also see former European Tour event winner Steve Beaton in action against German youngster Nico Blum, who was one of one of Thursday night's eight South & West Europe Qualifiers.
Former World Youth Champion Max Hopp faces 2008 World Championship finalist Kirk Shepherd, while Chris Quantock meets German World Cup representative Martin Schindler.
Austrian star Rowby-John Rodriguez will take on James Wilson, while John Henderson plays Ronny Huybrechts – who held off a nine-darter from Robert Allenstein to win through their decider in the qualifiers - and Richard North drew emerging Belgian Mike De Decker.
Former European Tour finalist Jamie Lewis comes up against Harry Robinson, Poland's Krzysztof Ratajski meets Irish youngster Steve Lennon and Finland's Ulf Ceder meets former World Youth Championship finalist Nathan Aspinall.
Scotland's Jamie Bain meets Welshman Robert Owen in the tournament's opening tie, while Ryan Searle meets Steve West and Darren Webster plays Jim Walker.
The winner of the tie between Dutchman Jeffrey de Zwaan and Greece's John Michael will meet World Champion Michael van Gerwen in round two as the world number one begins his bid to win the title for a fourth straight year on Saturday night.
World number two Peter Wright - a four-time European Tour winner already this year - plays Webster or Walker, while third seed Mensur Suljovic meets Beaton or Blum and Simon Whitlock comes up against Shepherd or Hopp.
Michael Smith, May's Gibraltar Darts Trophy winner, will meet either Wilson or Rodriguez, while former Dutch Darts Masters winner Kim Huybrechts will take on Van Tergouw or Kist.
