Darts Set For Stoke Homecoming

FOUR top stars from Stoke will receive a King's Hall homecoming on Wednesday at the Darts For Donna Louise Exhibition, as top-level darts returns to the city for the first time in a decade.

Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis, Ian White and Andy Hamilton will be competing in the special night, which also features the culmination of the Darts For Donna Louise Masters event.

Taylor previously competed at the King's Hall back in 2005 in the first-ever Premier League night - and is pictured above from that event as he received a hero's welcome.

Taylor and his Stoke rivals are set for another memorable night in their home town on Wednesday when they take to the stage in a fundraising event for the PDC's official charity, the Donna Louise Children's Hospice.

The night will kick off with the semi-finals and final of the Darts For Donna Louise Masters amateur event, which saw the early rounds staged across pubs and clubs in Stoke and Staffordshire before the last 16 played off for places on stage at the King's Hall.

Andy Beardmore will play Steve Mason in the opening semi-final before Danny Key takes on Darren Bullock in the other last four clash, with the winnes going on to contest the final.

Those four amateurs will then be drawn against the four PDC stars for the quarter-finals of the exhibition event, which will then play off to a winner on the evening.

Balcony Tickets are still available for the event and can be purchased in advance from the Donna Louise Children's Hospice via 01782 654444, or can be purchased on the night at the King's Hall.

Doors open at 6pm with play commencing at 7pm.
