RYAN SEARLE made light work of fellow William Hill World Darts Championship debutant Stephen Burton, winning their first round meeting in straight sets on Saturday.
Searle missed darts to wrap up the first set 3-0 but eventually took it in a decisive fifth leg.
He then produced consecutive legs of 15, 13 and 16 darts to double his lead in the match.
Burton took out 96 to win the first leg of the third set but that was as good as things got for the Ipswich thrower as Searle reeled off the next three legs to set up a second round clash with Mensur Suljovic.
