Van Leuven & Greaves share PDC Women's Series titles in Wigan

PDC Women's Series

Noa-Lynn van Leuven and Beau Greaves shared victories on Saturday as the year's second PDC Women's Series weekend began in Wigan.

Noa-Lynn van Leuven secured qualification for the Paddy Power World Darts Championship as she shared PDC Women's Series wins with Beau Greaves on Saturday.

The year's sixth and final PDC Women's Series weekend began with a double-header at Leicester's Mattioli Arena, and it was Van Leuven who opened proceedings with victory in Event 21.

The Dutch ace produced a sensational 109.64 average as she defeated Greaves 5-3 in the final, reeling off four straight legs from 3-1 down against the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit winner.

Van Leuven also defeated big names Trina Gulliver, Mikuru Suzuki and Lisa Ashton during her run in the event, and defeated Scotland's emerging Lorraine Hyde in the semi-finals on her way to a fourth title of 2024.

Greaves bounced back to claim her eighth title of the 2024 PDC Women's Series in Event 22, dropping just seven legs in six matches in a dominant display.

She averaged over 90 against Angela Kirkwood and Gemma Hayter in the latter stages, and defied a 12-dart leg from Sherrock in the final to pull away for victory.

The PDC Women's Series concludes on Sunday with Events 23 & 24 in Leicester.

Going into the double-header, Van Leuven is now assured of a spot in the World Darts Championship, with the second qualifying place from the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit currently occupied by Sherrock - with only Suzuki and Ashton able to catch her on Sunday.

In the race for the second Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts place - alongside Betfred Women's World Matchplay winner Greaves - Van Leuven sits £3,500 clear of Sherrock, who must win both of Sunday's events to snatch a spot in Wolverhampton.

Events 23-24 will be streamed live on PDCTV on Sunday, with play getting underway from approximately 1000 GMT.
