PER LAURSEN, Brian Lokken, Darius Labanauskas and Dennis Nilsson secured places in the inaugural Danish Darts Open by coming through Thursday's final qualifying events in Copenhagen.
Experienced Dane Laursen sealed his spot on stage on Friday in the first PDC European Tour event in his homeland by overcoming recent World Cup representative Henrik Primdal and Vladimir Andersen in the Host Nation Qualifier.
The second spot for Danish players went to Lokken, who will be making his European Tour debut after picking up wins over Justin Thurley, Ole Jorgensen, Kenneth Byo and Kim Knudsen in the qualifier.
The two places for players from the remainder of the PDCNB region went to Lithuania's Labanauskas and Swedish ace Nilsson.
Labanauskas, the current PDCNB Order of Merit leader, defeated Finland's Marko Kantele 6-4 in their decider as he qualified.
Nilsson, a PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour event winner in March, knocked out Oskas Lukasiak and Andreas Harrysson to qualify, with both games going to a deciding 11th leg.
The quartet join Madars Razma in qualifying from the PDCNB region to compete in the Danish Darts Open, with the Latvian securing his place as the highest ranked PDCNB player on the main PDC Order of Merit.
The Danish Darts Open will take place from June 22-24, with streaming available for all PDCTV-HD Subscribers worldwide as well as through a series of bookmakers' websites.
