Lauby, Read & Lane come through latest Rileys Amateur Qualifiers

Danny Lauby, Dan Read & Harry Lane will feature in March’s Cazoo UK Open after coming through last weekend’s Rileys Amateur Qualifiers for the event.

American World Cup star Lauby will make his big stage return at Butlin’s Minehead Resort, having reached the third round of the UK Open 12 months ago.

Lauby – a two-time World Championship qualifier – dispatched Anthony Allen 5-1 to storm through Sunday’s Coventry event.

Elsewhere, Read secured a spot in his fourth UK Open after coming through Saturday’s South Benfleet Qualifier, defeating Joe Croft 5-2 to seal a place in this year’s showpiece, which takes place from March 3-5.

Meanwhile, Lane – a product of the Winmau Challenge Tour – recorded a 5-2 success against Mark Legg in Sunday’s London Victoria Qualifier to confirm his UK Open debut.

The trio will be joined at Minehead by JDC World Champion Luke Littler, Jim Moston and Stuart White, who prevailed in the opening round of qualifiers on January 21-22.

The Rileys Amateur Qualifiers continue on February 4-5, with further knockouts taking place in Chester, Norwich and Solihull.

Entries will cost £10 and are available through the Rileys website - with entry open to all players who do not hold a PDC Tour Card.

Online entries will close at 1700 GMT on the day before a qualifying event takes place.

Entries will be limited to a maximum of 150 players per qualifier at Coventry, Harlow, Liverpool, London Victoria and Solihull.
