Women’s World Matchplay champion Beau Greaves will take on Switzerland’s Stefan Bellmont in the first round of the 2025 Ladbrokes UK Open, with the draw and stage allocations confirmed for the opening session of next week’s Minehead event.
Greaves will make her highly-anticipated UK Open debut in the annual festival of darts, which will take place at Butlin’s Minehead Resort from February 28 to March 2.
The unique multi-board tournament will see PDC Tour Card Holders competing across three days of action alongside PDC Amateur Qualifiers and top players from the 2024 Winmau Challenge Tour and Development Tour Orders of Merit.
The 160-player field will see Tour Card Holders enter across the first four rounds, based on their PDC Order of Merit position following this week's Players Championship double-header in Rosmalen.
The opening three rounds will take place in a bumper afternoon session on Friday February 28, before the world’s top 32 enter the fray at the fourth round stage in the evening session.
The first round will see Tour Card Holders ranked from 97-128 joined by 16 PDC Amateur Qualifiers, and 16 players from the 2024 Challenge Tour and Development Tour.
Greaves – a winner of two Challenge Tour titles last month – has been handed a tough assignment against Swiss star Bellmont, a Players Championship semi-finalist earlier this week.
Former Lakeside Champion Christian Kist and German star Max Hopp will also be amongst the names in first round action, as they take on Daniel Perry and Shaun Fox respectively.
Scotland’s World Cup winner John Henderson will play former Tour Card Holder Graham Usher in his opener, with Wesley Plaisier and Cam Crabtree set to go head-to-head in another stand-out tie.
Tour Card Holders ranked 65-96 will enter in round two, as former Premier League star Jelle Klaasen meets either Adam Lipscombe or Marc Dewsbury for a place in round three.
Ireland’s Steve Lennon and Dom Taylor lock horns in Friday afternoon’s second round, with Belgium’s Andy Baetens awaiting either Plaisier or Crabtree at the same stage.
Players ranked from 33-64 will then join the tournament in round three, with two-time UK Open champion Raymond van Barneveld among the headline names in third round action.
Five-time World Champion Van Barneveld faces a potential showdown against either Henderson or Austria’s Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, who plays Mike Gillet in the first round.
World Championship quarter-finalist Callan Rydz plays Scotland’s Alan Soutar in an intriguing tussle, as European Championship runner-up Jermaine Wattimena meets Germany’s Florian Hempel.
Hempel’s compatriot Gabriel Clemens will play 2024 semi-finalist Ricky Evans, while former World Championship semi-finalist Scott Williams goes up against emerging Dutchman Wessel Nijman in arguably the tie of the round.
Grand Slam of Darts runner-up Martin Lukeman will take on Jim Williams, while Mickey Mansell – a semi-finalist in Wolverhampton last year – faces a potential clash against Greaves for a place in round four.
The sport’s biggest names will begin their title bids in round four, including reigning champion Dimitri Van den Bergh, world number one Luke Humphries and World Champion Luke Littler.
Former champions Michael van Gerwen, Nathan Aspinall, Peter Wright, Danny Noppert, James Wade, Gary Anderson and Andrew Gilding will also enter the event at the fourth round stage.
Following the conclusion of the third round on Friday afternoon, an open draw will be made live on the Main Stage for the fourth round, with further draws to be made following each subsequent round.
Main Stage matches across all three days will be broadcast live on ITV3 and ITV4 for UK viewers, through the PDC's international broadcast partners, including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV for Rest of the World Subscribers.
Stage Two action on Friday and Saturday will be streamed exclusively for all PDCTV Subscribers worldwide, with matches from Stages Three to Eight also broadcast live on PDCTV.
Players will compete for the £110,000 top prize and the coveted title across the weekend in Minehead, with a total prize fund of £600,000 on offer being paid down to the last 128.
