Places in the Paddy Power World Darts Championship and Grand Slam of Darts are on offer as the 2023 PDC Women's Series season concludes in Wigan this weekend.
The Robin Park Tennis Centre will play host to Women's Series Events 21-24 on October 14-15, with over 90 players set to star on a decisive weekend in the race to secure spots in two forthcoming TV events.
Beau Greaves will finish top of the Women’s Series Order of Merit after scooping 12 titles during a sensational 2023 campaign, and the teenage star has also featured in a further two finals.
However, the Women’s World Matchplay champion has chosen not to compete in this year’s World Darts Championship, therefore her place will be allocated to November’s Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
The top two players behind Greaves on the Women's Series Order of Merit will feature in the sport's flagship event, and those places are provisionally occupied by Mikuru Suzuki and Fallon Sherrock.
Suzuki - a runner-up to Greaves at the Winter Gardens - currently boasts a £2,200 lead over Sherrock in third, ahead of the final four events this weekend.
The Japanese trailblazer has won a hat-trick of Women's Series titles and made four finals in 2023, as she closes in on a World Championship return following her debut appearance in 2019/2020.
Sherrock consolidated her position in third place on the rankings with victory over Greaves in the Event 20 final which concluded the most recent weekend of PDC Women’s Series action last month.
Lisa Ashton celebrated a victory of her own in Event 18, however the fourth-placed star has withdrawn from competing in Wigan this weekend for personal reasons.
The trio of Greaves, Suzuki and Sherrock have won 17 of the 20 Women’s Series titles on offer this year, and they will all headline this weekend’s finale at the Robin Park Tennis Centre.
Rhian O’Sullivan and Robyn Byrne - both first-time Women’s Series title winners in 2023 - will also feature, although they face a huge task to overhaul Sherrock in third spot.
Dutch duo Aileen de Graaf and Noa-Lynn van Leuven will be joined in Wigan by three-time Lakeside Champion Dobromyslova, who reached back-to-back finals last month to continue her resurgence.
The race for World Championship qualification will dominate the headlines this weekend, but there is also a place in November’s Grand Slam of Darts up for grabs.
Greaves is already assured of her place in the 32-player field in Wolverhampton as the Women's World Matchplay champion, and Suzuki will join her if she can retain second spot on the Women’s Series Order of Merit.
The race to qualify for the 2024 Betfred Women's World Matchplay also continues this weekend, with the top eight players on the 12-month Women's World Matchplay Order of Merit set to qualify for next year's showpiece.
The sixth and final weekend of 2023 PDC Women's Series action features streaming live on PDCTV on October 14-15, with play getting underway from approximately 1000 BST on each day.
