Tom Bissell and Viktor Tingstrom became the first players to win PDC Tour Cards at the 2025 Qualifying Schools on Thursday.
The newcomer on the block Bissell was victorious at UK Qualifying School in Milton Keynes, while Tingstrom took the first card at European Qualifying School in Kalkar, Germany.
Bissell, who has never played in a PDC affiliated event before this week, managed to battle his way through a tough draw to book his spot on the ProTour for the next two years.
The 37-year-old from Dudley kicked off his afternoon with a 6-3 win against Jarred Cole, before seeing off Jamie Owens and John Henderson to reach the Last 16.
There, he came through a dramatic encounter with Thomas Lovely - after Lovely had missed a match dart - to book his place in the quarter-finals where he overcame James Howard Hughes.
Bissell then defeated Tom Sykes 6-3 in the semi-finals before edging out 2020 World Youth Champion Bradley Brooks in a last-leg decider to seal his place on the professional circuit for the first time.
Meanwhile, Tingstrom - a 23-year-old from Stockholm - landed a trio of ton-plus averages on his way to victory in Kalkar, defeating World Cup star Stefan Bellmont, Kevin Troppman, Andrea Micheletti and former Tour Card Holder Karel Sedlacek on his way to the final.
Swedish star Tingstrom took on Dutchman Jimmy van Schie in the final, winning the last two legs to run out a 6-4 winner, pinning a 129 checkout to win his Tour Card for this first time.
Friday will offer a further chance for players to win Tour Cards, with play commencing at 1300 CET in Kalkar and 1200 GMT in Milton Keynes.
In addition to the daily Tour Card winners, a further 21 Tour Cards will be awarded on a pro-rata basis to players from the respective Final Stage Orders of Merit following Day Four - 12 in Europe, and 9 in the UK.
The Orders of Merit for both UK and European Qualifying Schools are listed below.
