ROLAND SCHOLTEN admits that a place in the Holsten Premier League Darts play-offs is in his own hands ahead of his double appearance in Stevenage this Thursday.
Scholten will face both Peter Manley and Raymond van Barneveld at the Arts & Leisure Centre, and knows that he could secure his top-four place before the end of the night.
He currently sits three points clear of fourth placed Colin Lloyd and four ahead of Ronnie Baxter and Manley with just two league nights remaining.
"I've got three games left, so getting at least one win should be possible for me," said Scholten.
"All the games are important now, but I'll take them one at a time and it doesn't matter who I'm playing.
"I guess the sooner I get third place wrapped up the better!"
Scholten lost 8-6 to Lloyd in Doncaster last week, and admitted that he has spent many hours on the practice board since.
He added: "I was very disappointed with how I played in that game, but this Thursday is a new page in the book and I'm looking forward to it."
