Lee Cocks claimed his maiden PDC title at Winmau Challenge Tour Event Ten in Hildesheim on Sunday, whitewashing Wesley Plaisier 5-0 in the final.
Cocks, who reached a semi-final and a quarter-final on the Challenge Tour in 2023, continued his progress with victory in the final event of the weekend at Halle 39.
The Londoner defeated Challenge Tour Order of Merit high-flyer Darryl Pilgrim in his opener, before following up with wins over Nicolas Thuillier, Marcel Bos, James Welding and Adam Paxton to reach the quarter-finals.
There, Cocks came through a last-leg decider with Mark Warburton before coming through a scrap with Dutchman Derk Telnekes in the final four.
A 93.94 average in the final saw Cocks come through another Dutch test against Plaisier in the final to seal the title.
The 2024 Winmau Challenge Tour continues with Events 11-15 at the Mattioli Arena, Leicester from June 7-9.
The top two players from the final 2024 Challenge Tour Order of Merit will secure a PDC Tour Card for 2025/26 and a place in the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
