Ted Evetts and Keane Barry shared victories on Saturday as the year's final PDC Unicorn Development Tour weekend continued in Barnsley.

Evetts won his 13th title at this level in Event Seven, enjoying a 5-3 win over Joe Davis in the Event Seven decider to open Saturday's second of three days of action.

The 23-year-old won eight matches during the event, including a narrow 5-4 defeat of Northern Ireland's Nathan Rafferty in the quarter-finals and a 5-2 victory over Event Six winner Damian Mol in the semis.

He took a three-leg lead in the final before Davis hit back to trail 4-3, but a 12-darter for Evetts sealed his first title of the year.

Davis won through to his first Development Tour final since April 2018, defeating Barry 4-1 in the last 32 and also seeing off Dutch duo Berry van Peer and Owen Roelofs in the latter stages.

Barry (pictured above) bounced back to take the £2,000 title and his first Development Tour win in Event Eight, defeating Ryan Meikle 5-3 in the final.

He averaged 101 in a superb 4-2 second round win over Evetts, and bettered that with a 103 average in his 5-1 quarter-final defeat of Niels Zonneveld.

The teenager saw off Van Peer 5-1 in the semi-finals - reaching the final by dropping just seven legs in as many matches - before coming from 3-0 down to claim five straight legs against Meikle and claim the title.

Meikle was bidding to follow up his double success on the year's opening Development Tour weekend in Germany with a seventh title at this level, but missed out in the decider.

Event Eight also featured the first nine-dart finish of 2020 on the Development Tour as Moreno Blom achieved perfection in the fifth leg of his 4-2 win over Brian Raman in the last 128.

The PDC Unicorn Development Tour season concludes on Sunday with Events Nine & Ten at the Barnsley Metrodome, with two-year PDC Tour Cards on offer for the top two players from the final Order of Merit, alongside places in the William Hill World Darts Championship.

Places are also up for grabs in Monday's PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship Last 96 in Barnsley.
