Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler will go head-to-head in a blockbuster first round tie at the Betfred World Matchplay, as Nathan Aspinall begins his title defence against Luke Woodhouse.

Luke Littler will make his Betfred World Matchplay debut later this month, while 2007 champion James Wade secured his qualification in last-gasp fashion on Wednesday.
